A Beloved Vintage Clutch, Reimagined
Some creations carry more than beauty; they carry memory, emotion, and love.
This vintage clutch came to me through a beloved client, who had received it from her late father when she was a very young woman. She had kept it close to her heart for many years, a precious reminder of him, filled with sentiment and personal history.
Time had left its mark, and the piece needed care, attention, and a new breath of life.
Together, we chose not simply to restore it but to reimagine it.
Its original, beautiful caramel-brown snakeskin was preserved and honored, while I created a new interior lining in supple beige leather. I added an asymmetrical leather overlay on the top, like a new layer of story, bringing dimension and modernity. At the center, a beautiful vintage brooch became the new closure: a jewel, a focal point, a symbol.
On the back, carefully placed metal studs finish the leather with quiet strength, while each stitch was delicately highlighted with gold paint, an intimate detail, almost like a whispered blessing.
This is what I love most about my work: receiving pieces that are deeply loved and entrusted to me with tenderness. It is always an honor to help transform something precious, preserving its soul while inviting it into a new chapter.

Une pochette vintage précieuse, réinventée
Certaines créations portent bien plus que de la beauté , elles portent la mémoire, l’émotion et l’amour.
Cette pochette vintage m’a été confiée par une cliente chère, qui l’avait reçue de son père aujourd’hui disparu alors qu’elle était encore très jeune. Elle l’a conservée toutes ces années comme un précieux souvenir, chargé d’histoire et d’émotion.
Le temps avait laissé son empreinte, et cette pièce avait besoin de soin, d’attention, et d’un nouveau souffle.
Ensemble, nous avons choisi de ne pas simplement la restaurer, mais de la réinventer.
Son magnifique cuir façon serpent caramel a été préservé et honoré, tandis que j’ai créé une nouvelle doublure en cuir beige souple. J’ai ajouté sur le dessus une pièce de cuir asymétrique , comme une nouvelle couche d’histoire, apportant relief et modernité. Au centre, une superbe broche ancienne est devenue le nouveau fermoir : un bijou, un point focal, un symbole.
Au dos, quelques clous métalliques viennent délicatement finir le cuir avec caractère, tandis que chaque couture a été soulignée de peinture dorée , un détail intime, presque comme une bénédiction.
C’est ce que j’aime profondément dans mon travail : recevoir des objets porteurs d’émotion, confiés avec tendresse. C’est un honneur de pouvoir préserver leur âme tout en leur offrant un nouveau chapitre.
