Gypsy Dandy Hat
A one-of-a-kind wearable story

The Gypsy Dandy is a vintage fedora by Bianchi “I Cappelli di Qualità” discovered many moons ago and immediately loved for its timeless character.

Some pieces speak the moment I find them.
This hat was one of those.

Its deep chocolate brown felt carried an undeniable presence, and slowly it revealed the direction it wished to take. I followed that whisper.

A vintage metal feather found its place within the bow.
A smooth white stone, softened and polished by time, was added to bring contrast and grounding.
Along the brim, I pierced the edge and attached an antique button with a delicate chain that gently traces its border, a subtle movement, a hidden detail.
At the crown rests a small bone bead, quietly placed, as if it had always belonged there.

Together, these found elements transformed the hat into something beyond fashion, a piece with soul, memory, and allure. Something slightly untamed. Something outside of time.

This is often how I create: I listen to the object, I honor its story, and allow it to become what it is meant to be.

Then, one day, its soulmate appears.

This hat was chosen by a beautiful man who fell in love with it instantly!
I hope he treasures it as much as I still do.

Gypsy Dandy
Une histoire à porter, une pièce unique

Le Gypsy Dandy est un fedora vintage de la maison Bianchi « I Cappelli di Qualità » découvert il y a plusieurs lunes, et aimé immédiatement pour son caractère intemporel.

Certaines pièces me parlent dès le premier regard.
Ce chapeau était de celles-là.

Son feutre brun profond portait déjà une présence singulière, presque magnétique, et peu à peu il m’a révélé la direction qu’il souhaitait prendre.
Je me suis simplement laissée guider.

Une plume métallique vintage a trouvé sa place dans son nœud.
Une pierre blanche, polie et adoucie par le temps, est venue apporter du contraste et de l’ancrage.
Sur le bord du chapeau, j’ai percé délicatement le feutre pour y fixer un bouton ancien accompagné d’une fine chaînette qui en épouse le contour un détail discret, presque secret, qui crée le mouvement.
Au sommet repose une petite perle d’os, comme posée là naturellement, comme si elle y avait toujours appartenu.

Ensemble, ces éléments trouvés ont transformé ce chapeau en quelque chose de plus qu’un accessoire, une pièce avec une âme, une mémoire, une allure.
Quelque chose de légèrement indompté.
Quelque chose hors du temps.

C’est souvent ainsi que je crée :
J’écoute l’objet, j’honore son histoire, et je lui permets de devenir ce qu’il est destiné à être.

Puis, un jour, son âme sœur apparaît.

Ce chapeau a été choisi par un bel homme qui en est tombé amoureux instantanément.
J’aime penser qu’il le chérit autant que moi encore aujourd’hui.
